Livestock Brands   

ALL livestock brands will expire on August 30, 2011.  This includes those filed today or any time prior to August 30, 2011. 
The renewal period is August 31, 2011 - February 29, 2012.  The Filing Fee is $16.00 per brand, per location on animal.  Please renew your brand in the County Clerk's office during this renewal period.

 
Election Information
 
The Democratic and Republican Primary Elections will be held on April 3, 2012. You must be registered to vote by March 5 in order to participate in
the Primary Election.  Early Voting will be at the Clay County Courthouse Annex March 19-March 30.  These dates may be subject to change, please
check back often, and contact the Clerk’s office for further information.


Senate Bill 14 - Creates a new photo voter identification requirement that will be required for voter qualification in all elections in Texas
beginning January 1, 2012.  The new laws requires that all voters must present one of the following forms of photo identification in
order to be eligible to be accepted for voting:
 
A)    Driver's license, election identification certificate, personal identification card, or concealed handgun license by the Texas Department
of Public Safety;
 
B)    United States Military identification card that contains the person's photograph;
 
C)    United States citizenship certificate that contains the person's photograph;
 
D)    United States passport.
